David Keegan was a man who lived with quiet strength, deep kindness, and an unwavering love for his family. He was a devoted father, loving partner, a loyal friend, and a person who always put others before himself. His life was filled with adventure, laughter, and the simple joys of being with the people he loved.
In late August 2024, David was diagnosed with biphasic pleural mesothelioma, a rare and aggressive cancer caused by asbestos exposure. Despite the challenges he faced, he met them with resilience, dignity, and the same selflessness that defined his life. He fought bravely, not for himself, but for the chance to spend more time with his family—his greatest source of pride and joy.
Mesothelioma is a devastating disease with limited treatment options, and families like ours quickly realize how desperately more research is needed. In honor of David’s life and the countless others affected by this illness, we are raising funds for the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation. This organization is dedicated to funding vital research, supporting patients and families, and working toward a future with better treatments and, one day, a cure.
Instead of flowers, we ask that you consider making a donation in David’s memory. Your generosity will help turn our grief into action, offering hope to others facing this cruel disease.
David’s legacy is one of love, generosity, and perseverance. We hope this fundraiser serves as a tribute to the incredible man he was and the impact he had on all of us. Thank you for honoring him in this way.
